Anxiety is defined as a mood disorder but also produces unpleasant physical effects. Anxiety can be labelled 'General Anxiety' where it is constant or 'Episodic Anxiety' where the anxiety is triggered by an event or cue such as a phobia.
Yoga can be very successful in reducing anxiety through a combination of yoga posture work (asanas) and breathwork. Meditation will also help to calm the mind.
