This class will cover the level 1 basic asanas (yoga postures).  You will be given time to become familiar with the asanas as you learn how to breathe well and move with correct and safe alignment.  We will explore standing and seated asanas, leading to basic backbends and inversions (upside down postures), with all asanas being completely accessible to beginners.   You will also learn the benefits of each asana, how to prevent injury in yoga and how the ancient teachings can be used to affect your daily life in a positive way.

It is recommended that you bring your own mat. However, a limited number of mats will be available to borrow or purchase at the studio.
